- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F for 3 minutes. Lightly brush the basket with avocado oil.
- Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels.
- Combine the baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper.
- Toss the wings with the seasoning until evenly coated.
- Arrange the wings in one uncrowded layer in the air-fryer basket.
- Cook at 380°F for 18 minutes, turning after 10 minutes.
- Increase the heat to 400°F and cook for 6–10 minutes, turning halfway through.
- Confirm the wings have reached at least 165°F, then rest them on a wire rack for 3 minutes.
- Serve dry-seasoned or toss lightly with warm sauce immediately before serving.
